About

I currently work freelance as Digital Content Manager at Scottish Ensemble and as Communications Manager at New Contemporaries.

Previously, I have worked for organisations including The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Serpentine Galleries, Camden Arts Centre, South London Gallery, Whitechapel Gallery, Tate, Hepworth Wakefield, Morris Hargreaves McIntyre and University of the Arts London Libraries.

Companies I have worked in partnership with on PR campaigns include The National Lottery, DCMS, DEFRA, Arts Council England, The National Lottery Community Fund, Historic England, National Trust, Wildlife Trusts, Natural History Museum, V&A, RSC, Design Museum, National Galleries Scotland, Walthamstow Wetlands, Kew Gardens and many more.

I worked at The National Lottery Heritage Fund for 8 years leading the social media strategy, policy and all content. In this role I managed a small team of digital communications roles and a budget. There was no one in this position prior to my arrival, so I set up all systems and content ideas, as well as developing online listening tools, the CEO social media accounts, and working on digital campaigns and project openings with 100s of heritage organisations. Since I worked in this role their social media presence increased by millions of impressions and engagements, social media and digital communications techniques had a greater presence in the organisation with staff being more involved and it feeding in to wider business strategy, and I developed trending digital campaigns including #HeritageFromHome, #HeritageIsOpen and #HeritageTreasures Day, and film series including Heritage Highlights and behind the scenes tours.

I was also a key member of the Corporate PR Team at The National Lottery Heritage Fund and I fed in to wider strategy and all PR and campaigns. I was The National Lottery Promotions Unit heritage campaign lead, which included developing an exhibition in summer 2023 at the Horniman Museum featuring a range of nature projects funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, projecting heritage heroes on to Stonehenge for a PR moment after lockdown, and leading National Lottery Open Week. The National Lottery Heritage Fund Head of Media and PR described me as “highly innovative”.

When working at Camden Arts Centre I developed a new digital strategy including implementing a new website, online archive, e-newsletter and online shop. I worked across the full marketing mix to promote exhibitions, events, the shop, café and courses. I developed TV screens in the gallery and a touch screen installation showcasing the digital archive.

See my CV below for my wider experience to date.
